Potato chips! Here is a link to the Wikipedia page with all the historical details! George Crum invented by accident, a customer complained that his fried potatoes were too thick, French, and I'm just walking! It was super thin to be intelligent and history was made!

Dinner found Crum French fries too thick for his liking and rejected the request. Crum decided to annoy pierce the guests by producing fries too thin and crispy skewer with a fork.
